Ingredients

all-purpose flour

¼ cup

whole wheat flour

1 tbsp

cocoa powder, unsweetened

2 packets

Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Original Nutritional Drink Mix (Rich Milk Chocolate flavor)

1 tbsp

baking powder

Pinch

sea salt

1 cup

unsweetened almond milk beverage

large eggs

1 tsp

vanilla extract

1 tbsp

butter, unsalted

1½ tbsp

mini chocolate chips, optional

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flours, cocoa powder, Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Original Nutritional Drink Mix (Rich Milk Chocolate flavor), baking powder and sea salt.
  2. In a small bowl, combine almond milk, vanilla, and eggs.
  3. Pour wet mixture into dry, stirring until just combined.
  4. Heat butter in a nonstick fry pan over medium heat.
  5. Spoon pancake batter into the pan.
  6. Flip when bubbles start to form, and tops lose their shine.
  7. Enjoy immediately, or freeze.
